Nachdem wir am Montag noch gemeinsam mit einer Freundin eine Magen-Darm-Spiegelung haben machen lassen, kann es nun morgen, Donnerstag zum wohlverdienen Urlaub nach Kreta gehen und wir freuen uns schon sehr.
Wir waren bisher nur einmal in Griechenland, in Athen und auf dem Peloponnes zu einer Rundreise. Anfang Januar hatten wir uns entschieden, den Sommerurlaub in Europa zu verbringen, aus Vorsicht und Bedenken bzgl. Corona. Bedenken, dass evtl. unser Flug nicht stattfindet oder das Gepäck nicht ankommt, darüber machte man sich zum Zeitpunkt der Buchung noch keine Gedanken. Wir fliegen ab Frankfurt, Boarding ist um 4:15 Uhr. Super. Man soll mindestens drei Stunden vorab am Flughafen sein. Eine Stunde Fahrtzeit, d.h wir werden wohl um Mitternacht hier starten. Unser Hotel liegt im Norden von Kreta, nennt sich TUI MAGIC LIFE Candia Maris. Nun vor der Reise haben wir uns, wie immer, schon damit beschäftigt, was wir uns alles ansehen möchten. Gleich im Januar haben wir schon ein Leihauto gebucht. Nun, bei unseren Recherchen, musste wir feststellen, wie groß Kreta ist. Kreta ist die größte griechische Insel und mit rund 8261 Quadratkilometern Fläche sowie 1066 Kilometern Küstenlänge nach Sizilien, Sardinien, Zypern und Korsika die fünftgrößte Insel im Mittelmeer. Das heißt, wenn wir die Insel einmal komplett umfahren möchten, bräuchtest wir theoretisch etwa 15 Stunden – allerdings gibt es nicht überall gut ausgebaute Straßen, weshalb die Fahrt länger dauern kann und wir das ja nicht an einem Tag zu schaffen ist. Also haben wir ganz viele Ideen und Ziele wieder gestrichen und konzentrieren uns auf den Norden. So gesehen ist das alles in der Nähe, denn von Frankfurt nach Kreta sind es 2.105,45 km Flugstrecke und Fahrstrecke (incl. Fähre): 2.763,08 km.

Wir haben wieder super gut geschlafen, obwohl die Betten im Hotel etwas schmaler sind als zu Hause. Vielleicht liegt es aber auch an der vielen frischen Luft, der Bewegung oder den vollen Bäuchen, auf jeden Fall waren wir heute morgen wieder super gut ausgeschlafen.
Nachdem wir uns am Frühstücksbuffet mit Eiern, frischem Obst, Käse und Brötchen gestärkt hatten, machten wir uns zu Fuß auf nach Palma. Wie herrlich war der Weg, immer am Strand entlang, weiter und weiter, nach 7 km machten wir zum erste mal eine Kaffeepause in der Sonne. Der Weg ging durch Dünen und schön gemachte Wege bis Palma. Ziel unserer Wanderung war die Kathedrale, die wir auch nach 10,5 km erreicht haben. Da wir noch nicht genug hatten, liefen wir durch Palma und fanden zum Mittagstisch eine schöne Tapas Bar, wo wir aber nur etwas Brot mit leckeren Tomaten und ein paar Garnelen aßen. Das war es so lecker. Nachdem ich gestern beim Shoppen nicht erfolgreich war, bot mir Thomas an, nun noch ein bisschen durch die Stadt zu gehen und evtl. noch etwas zu shoppen, wenn es sich ergibt. Wir liefen ja heute Morgen um 10:30 Uhr los, mittlerweile war es 15:00 Uhr, ich hatte einen schönen Pullover gekauft und nun gönnten wir uns noch ein Kaffee und eine Cola. Nachdem wir noch nicht wirklich müde waren, überlegten wir kurz, ob wir den Weg zurück zu Fuß gehen möchten. Wir überlegten aber nur kurz und entschieden uns für den Bus. Nach fast 24.000 Schritten, also 16,9 km, sind wir nun zurück im Hotel. Der Bus zurück fuhr sogar über die Autobahn, da der Weg so lang war. Wir ruhen im Moment auf dem Bett, so beim Ruhen spüren wir nun doch unsere Beine und uns fällt das Aufstehen für zum Abendessen nun doch etwas schwer. Koffer müssen wir auch noch packen, morgen geht es nach Hause. Um 6:00 Uhr in der Früh werden wir am Hotel abgeholt und werden dann so gegen 11:30 Uhr in Frankfurt sein. Uns ist das so angenehmer, anstatt ohne Hotelzimmer bis nachmittags auf den Abflug zu warten. Leider ist die Woche Mallorca schon vorbei, uns hat es hier sehr gut gefallen und bestimmt kommen wir noch mal nach Mallorca.

Heute Morgen sind wir bei schönem Wetter aufgewacht und haben den ganzen Tag auf das schlechte Wetter gewartet, jetzt um 18:00 Uhr ziehen dunkle Wolken auf, es ist sehr windig und wir haben auch nur noch 17 Grad und keine Sonne, also kalt. Wir waren heute in einem Shopping Outlet, auf einem großen Markt in Inca und noch in einem supergroßen Einkaufszentrum, haben aber nicht wirklich viel geshoppt, sind nur gelaufen und gelaufen, war aber schön. Dieses Programm hatten wir wegen der Wettervorhersage gewählt und ich glaube Thomas wollte mich bei Laune halten. Shoppen geht ja immer. Zum Mittag haben wir uns wieder mit leckerem Schinken, Käse und Brot versorgt. Zurück im Hotel haben wir dann heute am späten Nachmittag das Leihauto zurück gegeben und sitzen nun in der Hotellobby und ich trinke einen heißen Tee und Thomas aber eine Cola mit Eis. So viel zu unserem Temperaturempfinden. Thomas hat gerade festgestellt, dass wir total untypische Mallorcaurlauber sind, wir wohnen in einem Hotel am Ballermann, waren kein einziges Mal im Bierkönig und auch nicht im Megapark und ggf noch schlimmer, wir hatten noch keinen Tropfen Alkohol in dieser Woche. Aber wir haben ja noch einen Tag Zeit. Für Morgen steht auf dem Plan, dass wir soweit am Strand von unserem Hotel aus laufen, wie uns unsere Füße tragen und dann ggf. mit Bus oder Taxi zurück fahren. Wir wissen aber noch nicht so genau, wie das Wetter sein wird, bisher haben alle Vorhersagen nicht gestimmt. Für morgen sind 19 Grad und wolkig angesagt, auch wissen wir nicht, wie weit wir am Strand überhaupt kommen, darüber werden wir dann morgen berichten.
Heute war schlechtes Wetter vorhergesagt. 17 Grad, Regen und für heute Nachmittag Unwetterwarnung. Wir beschlossen, mit dem Auto nach Palma zu fahren und bei Regen die 31 Kirchen zu besichtigen, sodass wir immer irgendwie im trockenen sind. Vorab zu sagen, wir waren in keiner Kirche, da wir gutes Wetter hatten. Am Morgen war es bewölkt und wir haben in dieser Zeit Santa Catalina, das ehemalige Fischerviertel mit seiner Markthalle besichtigt. Danach ging es mehr ins Zentrum, wir haben ein zentral gelegenes Parkhaus gefunden und dann schlenderten wir durch ganz Palma bei strahlendem Sonnenschein, ab und zu war es etwas windig. In Palma gab es eine Art Rittermarkt, auf dem wir kleine frittierter Fische zu Mittag aßen. Ich fand genügend Zeit zum Shoppen und auch ein wenig bummeln am Hafen war noch drin. In der Sonne haben wir Kaffee und Cola genossen und einfach dem vollen Treiben in Palma zugeschaut. Es ist in der Stadt schon richtig voll, kaum vorzustellen, wie es hier in der Hauptsaison ist. Die Preise auf Mallorca haben es in sich. Ein Café mit Milch kostet nur 2,30 Euro voll okay, aber ein Cappuccino, die gleiche Tassengröße wie der Kaffee kostet 4,70 Euro. Man überlegt sich ganz schnell, ob man Kaffee oder Cappuccino trinken möchte. Ein Bällchen Eis kostet, wenn man viel Glück hat, zwei Euro und in Palma in der Fußgängerzone bis zu 2,90 Euro, das finde ich schon sehr teuer. Für die kleinen Fische haben wir 18 Euro gezahlt. Wir haben volles Verständnis dafür, dass auch Mallorca durch Corona schwere Zeiten hinter sich hat, aber beim Eis und Cappuccino habe ich schon Grenzen, auch wenn man im Urlaub ist. Die Preise beim Mittagessen in den Lokalen waren aber immer in Ordnung, es geht alleine um das „schnelle zwischendurch“, das finde ich schade und man überlegt sich das ein oder andere Mal doch, ob man nochmal einkehrt oder weiter geht und sich im Supermarkt versorgt. Ach übrigens, wir haben beim Bummeln 14,2 km zurückgelegt.
So, morgen ist mal wieder schlechtes Wetter angesagt und das Meer hat auch heute schon richtig hohe Wellen, mal abwarten was wir machen, ich könnte noch shoppen….
Nach einer super guten Nacht gingen wir um 8:30 Uhr zum Frühstück. Da für heute nochmals gutes Wetter vorhergesagt war, beschlossen wir Wandern zu gehen, in der Sierra de Tramuntana. Es waren für den heutigen Tag 24 Grad vorhergesagt. Perfekt. Dass es in den Bergen oftmals zehn Grad kühler ist als am Strand, haben wir voller Vorfreude bei diesem tollen Wetter vergessen. Als wir nach nicht endenden Serpentinen, immer nur bergauf, schrecklich viele Fahrradfahrer, die sich die Strecke von 9,5 Kilometer bergauf quälten und kaum überholt werden können, oben ankamen, war es so kalt, nur noch 13 Grad und windig, dass wir in unseren kurzen Hosen und Shirt nicht spazieren gehen konnten. Unmöglich, es war so kalt. Wir froren, nur ein Esel konnte unser Herz erwärmen und dann mussten wir ganz schnell zurück ins warme Auto. Der nächste Halt galt dem Stausee Gorg Blau und dem Cuber Stausee Auch hier wollten wir spazieren, der eine Rundweg war leider gesperrt und zudem war es immer noch kalt, 14 Grad, mehr war nicht drin. Mist. Wir beschlossen tiefer zu fahren und das „schönste Dorf auf Mallorca“ Fornalutx, ggf. das schönste Dorf Spaniens, zu besuchen. Wirklich ein traumhafter Ort mit verwinkelten Gassen, schmalen Steintreppen und Blumen und Grün, überall Orangenbäume und Olivenbäume. Mitten im Dorf, in der Sonne bei nun wieder 23 Grad, aßen wir lecker zu Mittag. Brot mit Ziegenkäse und karamellisierten Zwiebeln und Tomaten und Brot mit Aioli. Der Ort, das Essen, die Wärme, perfekt. Da wir uns bisher noch nicht viel bewegt hatten, fuhren wir nach Port de Soller. Wenige Kilometer trennen das Dorf Sóller von seinem Hafen, sodass man die Berge und den Strand fast gleichzeitig genießen kann, dazwischen pendelt ein Zug hin und her, sehr nett und meist voll. Wir sind den ganzen Strand auf und und ab spaziert und genossen die Sonne. Am späten Nachmittag machten wir uns auf dem Weg zurück zum Hotel und hielten noch im Hafen von Port d‘Andratx. Viele halten ihn angeblich für den hübschesten Hafen des Mittelmeers – auf jeden Fall ist es ein stylischer Hafen mit einem gut ausgestatteten und gepflegten Yachtclub, das Schlendern macht einfach viel Spaß. Auch den ankommenden Fischern haben wir noch zugesehen, beim entladen ihres Fangs. Als wir um 19:30 Uhr zurück im Hotel waren, hatten wir dann doch einen Fußmarsch von neun Kilometern hinter uns. Jetzt gab es noch Lachs und Salat vom Buffet und nun liegen wir müde, mit vollem Bauch, im Bett.
Heute Morgen, nachdem wir gut ausgeschlafen hatten, ging es mit gutem Vorsatz zum Frühstück. Heute mal nur gesund, Thomas schaffte das. Eier, Quark, gegrillte Tomaten und etwas Fisch. Bei mir hielt der Gedanke nur bis zum Gebäck und den Cornflakes. Satt machten wir uns heute auf nach Cala Millor. Dort besuchten wir den Wochenmarkt und erstanden Thomas ein schönes Lederarmband. Natürlich schlenderten wir auch durch die Stadt und besuchten die Geschäfte und Lokale von der Fernsehsendung „Goodbye Deutschland, die Auswanderer“. Von Jenny Delüx konnten wir ein Foto machen (das ist die erste Frau von Jens Büchner). Auch das ehemalige Lokal von Jens und Danny Büchner konnten wir finden und dort einen Kaffee trinken. Uns zog es dann aber doch zum Strand, dieser ist dort durchgängig zwölf Kilometer lang und man schlendert immer wieder an zahlreichen Shops und Cafés vorbei. Sehr touristisch und schön, aber niveauvoller als hier am Ballermann. Auf dem Nachhauseweg wollten wir eigentlich noch wandern gehen, zum Glück war die Zufahrt zum Ausgangspunkt gesperrt und wir wurden quasi zum Abbruch gezwungen. In Manacor haben wir am Mittag lecker gegessen, Brot mit Schinken und ein Crêpe mit Spinat und Shrimps. Durch den vorzeitigen Abbruch unserer Tagestour waren wir früher am Ballermann zurück als erwartet, sodass wir auch hier noch ein wenig am Strand spazieren und shoppen konnten. Gegen 16 Uhr rief uns dann unser Hotelzimmer zum späten wohlverdienten Mittagsschlaf. Unserem leichten Sonnenbrand, im Gesicht, am Hals und den Armen tat das Hotelzimmer auch richtig gut. Ab Mittwoch soll es hier einen Wetterumbruch geben und es soll gewittern und kühl werden. So, nun ist es 19:30 Uhr, wir sind frisch ausgeruht und geduscht und machen uns nun auf zum Abendessen.
Mallorca wir kommen! Dieses Jahr werden wir den Osterhasen auf Mallorca suchen. Morgen früh am Karsamstag geht es nach Mallorca, unser Flieger startet um 5:40 Uhr in Frankfurt und landet um 7:55 Uhr in Palma. Wir werden die Woche im Hotel Grupotel Acapulco Playa am Ballermann 9 verbringen. ( „Der Ballermann“ ist am Strandabschnitt 6). Für uns wird es das zweite/drite Mal Mallorca sein. Wir waren im Februar/März 2017 schon mal zur Mandelblüte auf Mallorca und 2018 einen Tag lang mit der „Mein Schiff“. Nun, da man wieder besser reisen bzw. fliegen kann, haben wir beschlossen, zunächst einmal mit Mallorca zu Ostern zu starten und sind voller Vorfreude. Wir möchten in dieser Woche viel spazieren, wandern, am Strand picknicken, schöne Augenblicke und Erinnerungen sammeln und natürlich gut essen, ggf. am Sonntag auf den Osterhasen treffen.

Wir haben so gut und lange geschlafen, kein Wunder, so satt und müde wie wir waren. Welch eine Überraschung dann beim Öffnen der Vorhänge, Bestimmt 10 cm Schnee. Schön, also zuerst mal wieder ins Bett.
Dann ging es zum Frühstück, obwohl wir vom Abend noch satt waren. Dies änderte sich aber schnell beim Anblick vom Frühstücksbuffet, sogar frische Waffeln konnte man sich backen. Beim Frühstück war also schon klar, Mittagessen muss ausfallen. Da direkt vor unserem Zimmer der Pool ist, ging es direkt nach dem Frühstück erst mal zum Schwimmen. Ein wenig schlechtes Timing haben wir schon, da wir gerade mal 1,5 Stunden zuvor uns geduscht und hübsch gemacht hatten. Aber der Pool, so ganz alleine für uns, war doch zu verlockend. Also gingen wir gemütlich schwimmen, ausruhen, nochmals duschen und hübsch machen und dann zum Shoppen ins Outlet nach Zweibrücken, nachdem Thomas das Auto freigekehrt hatte. Leider war mal wieder nur Thomas erfolgreich beim Shoppen. Um die allgemeine Stimmung zu heben, beschlossen wir die kurze Strecke nach Pirmasens zu Wawi Schokolade zu fahren. Dort erwartete uns am Eingang ein richtig großer aufgeblasener Osterhase, ohne Umweg ging es dann zu den Schokohasen, den Schokoladen und den Probierständen. Genial. Jetzt kam auch ich zum Shoppen, Laune und Zuckerspiegel stiegen, alles war wieder gut. Nach dem Shoppen gab es vor Ort noch Kaffee, heiße Mich mit viel Schoko und natürlich noch ein Stück Eiskonfekt, Puffreisschokolade und Nougat. Lecker
Zum Kalorienabbau sollte es zurück nach Zweibrücken in den Rosengarten zum Spaziergang gehen. Leider sah man schon von außen, dass die Rosen noch nicht soweit sind und der Garten noch sehr kahl ist. Also Kalorienabbau gestoppt. Es ging zurück ins Hotel zu einem späten Mittagsschlaf. Im Anschluß zogen wir vom Bett auf die warmen Liegen im Schwimmbad und genossen einfach nur die Wärme und Ruhe. Nach einer weiteren Runde im Pool ging es erneut zum duschen, hübsch machen und dann zum 5 Gänge Menu. Wieder total lecker, Jakobsmuschel, Perlhuhn…
Morgen früh geht es dann nach einem ausgiebigen Frühstück entspannt nach Hause. So ein Wochenende „Auszeit“ ist einfach wertvoll.
